On Wednesday, the State House Anti-Corruption Unit headed by Nakalema directed Abid Alam to record a statement at Kasanda Police Station. Col Edith Nakalema, the head of the unit said the businessman was handed over to police abid alam to record statements regarding allegations that a group of people attached to him gang raped a woman, destroyed banana plantations, robbed property and battered residents of Bukoba and Bukompe villages, among others.

The PCB said that the players had shown no symptoms until they were tested in Rawalpindi on Sunday ahead of the Pakistan team's tour to England for which the 29-man squad is scheduled to depart on June 28. Pakistan is scheduled to play three Tests and as many T20Is against England in August-September.
While senior player Shoaib Malik, head coach Waqar Younis and team physio Cliffe Deaconare are yet to be tested, players who have tested negative are Abid Ali, Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fawad Alam, Iftikhar Ahmad, Imam-ul-Haq, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, Sohail Khan, Yasir Shah, Imad Wasim and Usman Shinwari.

Abid Alarm who has been on remand at Kitalya prison since April 16th is jointly charged with 4 police officers attached to Wamala Regional police Headquarters in Mityana and Kassanda police station for unlawfully releasing confidential information regarding a case file to a suspect.
Abid, who is the proprietor of Wamala Farm Enterprises Ltd, is facing charges of assault, gang rape, murder, malicious damage to property, among others. The players and player support personnel, who have tested negative, will assemble in a bio-secure environment in Lahore on June 24 and will undergo second round of testing on June 25.
The PCB said none of the ten players and masseur had reported any prior symptoms of Covid-19 until they underwent first round of testing on Monday ahead of the side's departure for England next week. According to Prosecution, Abid Alam conspired with police officers to defeat the course of justice by unlawfully releasing confidential information regarding a case file in which he was a prime suspect.

Abid alongside the four police officers were then remanded to Kitalya Maximum Security Prison in Mityana until May 8, 2020 as police inquiries continue. There are currently over 5 cases in Mubende High court and Kampala high court (land division) against Abid Alam.
PCB in their official statement said the players and player support personnel, who have tested negative, will assemble in a bio-secure environment in Lahore on June 24 and will undergo a second round of testing on June 25. Seven more Pakistan cricketers have tested positive for the Coronavirus including allrounder Mohammad Hafeez and left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz.
